ABSTRACT The aims of the research were to study the influence of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza on growth of snake root and to determine the optimum dosage of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza on growth of snake root. The plant growth was influenced by some factor, there are genetic and environment factor, one of the environment factor is mycorrhiza. The research was done in randomized completely design with one factor treatment was variation dosage of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza inoculums in 5 replicates. Dosage of vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza which has been used were: 0 (control); 7,5; 15 and 22,5 gram. The treatment have gived for 16 week (4 month). The parameters which have been used to analys were root infection percentage and the growth parameters, there are: root dry weight, shoot dry weight, plant dry weight, root to shoot ratio, plant height, and the leaf number. The results showed that vesicular arbuscular mycorrhiza inoculation significantly improved the root infection percentage and root dry weigth of snake root. The maximum results to improve the percentage of infection and root dry weight was using the inoculation treatment of 7,5 gram per polybag.
