PENGGUNAAN EKSTRAK AIR UMBI KETELA POHON (Manihot utilissima Pohl.) SEBAGAI MOLUSKISIDA NABATI PEMBASMI KEONG MAS (Pomacea canaliculata L.)

× ABSTRACT Tuber of cassava (Manihot utilissima Pohl.) contains hydrogen cyanide do have toxic effect to Golden Apple Snails (GAS) (Pomacea canaliculata L.) passing respiration organs (ctenedium and pallium). The aims of research were to knows influences tuber of cassava to respiration organs (ctenedium and pallium) and this influences tuber to make death of GAS, also to knows influnces tuber of cassava to water quality in rice field. This research used randomized complete design and intake sample by random. Parameter of environment were analyzed with regretion cubik analysis with independent variable were parameter environtment (temperature, DO and pH)and concentration condensation of extract water tuber of cassava. Dependent variable were damage respirations organs (ctenedium and pallium) and amount of death GAS. Research of treatment with squirted out product from pressing tuber of cassava to GAS with variation consentration condensation of extract water tuber of cassava equal to 0 mg/l, 1 mg/l, 2 mg/l, 3 mg/l and 4 mg/l. Squirted out product pressing tuber of cassava as much as twice that is 7 am and 4 pm. The result of experiment showing that contains of HCN in 1 liter of pressing tuber of cassava amount of 29,3 mg/l. Giving tuber of cassava contains hydrogen cyanide had caused toxic effect to respiration organs (ctenedium and pallium) were emfisema of pilar cell, edema of epithelial cell and hyperplasia in secondary of lamella. Hydrogen cyanide had caused increase temperature, decrease DO and increase pH of water. Change condition of water still according to PPRI No. 82 year 2001.
