×<p><span class="fontstyle0">MAKING A BILINGUAL BATIK MOTIF CATALOGUE AT GIRI WASTRA PURA</span></p><p></p><p><span class="fontstyle0"></span><span class="fontstyle2">English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret.</span></p><p></p><p><span class="fontstyle2">This internship report was written based on the internship activity at Giri Wastra Pura, which began from February 26 and ended on April 24, 2024. The project that I did was making a bilingual batik catalogue. The process that I did when making this bilingual catalogue was creating a catalog framework, deciding the theme, curating of the batik motifs, describing batik motifs in bilingual (Indonesian and English), and designing the catalogue. When making the catalogue, I encountered many obstacles, such as data retrieval, taking picture of batiks, making design of batik catalogue, and also describing and translating the philosophy each batik motif. To overcome these obstacles, I reliedon various tools and resources, including online dictionaries, Google Documents, Grammarly, Canva, Batik Sebagai Tatanan dan Tuntunan book by Kalinggo Honggopuro (2002) and discussed with KRRAP Wahyudi Tipo Wandara who was batikenthusiast. These tools and resources have been very helpful in completing this catalogue in accordance with Giri Wastra Pura's request. In the process of describing and translating content, I faced problems related to unfamiliar meanings in Javanese thatI had to transfer into Indonesian and English. I solved the problem by using Nida and Taber's translation process of analyzing, transferring and restructuring. I also adapt translation strategies to solve my translating problems. These strategies proved to solve problems related to translation with cultural context.</span>
