ABSTRACT

This study develops the Putri Mawar Women Farmers Community in Cluntang Village using Participatory Design in the process of designing the Rumah Mawar facility and the revitalization program of the Putri Mawar Women Farmers Community. The main focus is to utilize the potential of roses for community sustainability. This approach involves community members in the design and decision-making process, enhancing their sense of ownership. The research stages include problem identification, focus group discussions (FGD), and design evaluation. The event program is designed to raise awareness and use local potential.

This study aims to determine (1) how to design the Rumah Mawar facility to increase the confidence and pride of the Putri Mawar Women Farmers Community, (2) how the design of the Rumah Mawar facility can be used to spark awareness and active involvement of community members in the Event Design Program, and (3) how the designed event program can function as a means of revitalizing the identity of the Putri Mawar Women Farmers Community.

The results show that this method can increase community participation and sustainability. (1) The revitalization event program includes workshops on rose implementation, village branding, infrastructure design, rose eco-tourism, and local culinary festivals. (2) Facilities such as Rumah Mawar are designed to support community activity programs. With the sustainability of the designed event program, the Putri Mawar Women Farmers Community is expected to continue to grow and contribute significantly to the social, economic, and cultural improvement in Cluntang Village. Long-term evaluation and collaboration with local government and the private sector are necessary to ensure the success of this project in the future.
