Kelainan metabolik ini mampu menjadi faktor resiko diabetes melitus tipe 2 dan penyakit kardiovaskular. </span><i><span xss=removed>Psidium guajava L.</span></i><span xss=removed> diduga memiliki potensi memberikan efek perbaikan pada pasien yang menderita sindrom metabolik. Tujuan dari dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh dari pemberian ekstrak buah jambu biji merah (</span><i><span xss=removed>Psidium guajava L.)</span></i><span xss=removed> terhadap kadar trigliserida pada tikus Wistar </span><i><span xss=removed>(Rattus norvegicus)</span></i><span xss=removed> model sindrom</span><span xss=removed> </span><span xss=removed>metabolik.</span><span xss=removed><o></o></span></p><p class="MsoNormal" xss=removed><b><span xss=removed>Metode:</span></b><span xss=removed> </span><span xss=removed>Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen laboratorium dengan desain pretest dan posttest pada kelompok kontrol. Sampel terdiri dari 30 ekor tikus Wistar jantan, yang dibagi menjadi lima kelompok: K1 sebagai kontrol negatif, K2 sebagai kontrol positif, serta K3, K4, dan K5 sebagai kelompok sindrom metabolik yang diberi ekstrak </span><i><span xss=removed>Psidium guajava L.</span></i><span xss=removed> dengan dosis berurutan yaitu </span><span xss=removed>1,62</span><span xss=removed> mg/200gBB/hari, </span><span xss=removed>3,24</span><span xss=removed> mg/200gBB/hari, dan </span><span xss=removed>6,48</span><span xss=removed> mg/200gBB/hari. Kadar trigliserida pada tikus diukur pada hari ke-8, 36, dan 64. Psidium guajava L. is thought to have the potential to provide an improvement effect on patients suffering from metabolic syndrome.
