ABSTRACT

            Indonesian Railways, Ltd. faces the challenges of an increasingly competitive freight transportation business to achieve customer satisfaction. Railway advantages such as time certainty, fast, safe, controlled, monitored, large capacity, flexibility, spacious place, competitive fares, there are storage warehouses, facilities loading-unloading, a convenient payment system. The increasing demand for freight transportation such as cement corporate goods must be balanced with improved supply chain management.

            This study aims to determine the efficiency of transportation service operation services of Indoneian Railways, Ltd. Cilacap – Yogyakarta operating area and the effectiveness of services for distributors in Yogyakarta, and to know the influence of the efficiency of transportation service operation services Indonesian Railways, Ltd. on the effectiveness of services for recipients or distributors of Dynamix brand cement in Yogyakarta. The research was conducted using the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) to determine the performance of transporting goods through three processes, namely shipping goods, transporting goods, and receiving goods. In this study, only two processes are examined, namely the transportation of goods and the receipt of goods. The analysis of this study uses the Structural equation modelling (SEM) to find out the influence Efficiency of Transportation Service Operations Indonesian Railways, Ltd. on the effectiveness of services for goods recipients, namely Dynamix brand cement distributors in Yogyakarta.

            The results of the analysis showed that The efficiency of transporting goods has a positive effect on the effectiveness of services to distributors by 0.794. The hypothesis is accepted because it has a p value of 0.000 or < 0> 1.96 so as to increase the efficiency of transporting goods cement corporation by Indonesian Railways (Persero) will increase the effectiveness of services for Dynamix brand cement distributors in Yogyakarta by 79.4%. The highest efficiency of transporting goods is in the X5 indicator (Management reduces logistics administrative costs) with a coefficient value of 0.747 and X6 (Management strives to increase the level of facility utilization in providing services) with a coefficient value of 0.714. Meanwhile, the effectiveness of distributor services is most effective in the Y8 indicator (Willingness to help the recipient of goods) with a coefficient value of 0.819, and Y4 (Providing services at the promised time) with a coefficient value of 0.798. Thus, it can be concluded that in Indonesian Railways, Ltd. has been classified as efficient in freight transportation services, and has been classified as effective in services to Dynamix brand cement distributor companies in Yogyakarta in 2024.
