× ABSTRAK Tujuan : Penyakit Tuberkulosis adalah penyakit infeksi menular yang masih tetap merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat di dunia termasuk Indonesia. Indonesia menempati urutan ketiga setelah India dan China dalam menyumbang TB di dunia. Tingginya jumlah tersebut berkaitan dengan masalah penanggulangan TB yang sangat kompleks. Masalah yang paling utama yaitu rendahnya tingkat kepatuhan penderita terhadap pengobatan padahal kepatuhan merupakan determinan utama untuk menentukan keberhasilan pengobatan TB. Ketidakpatuhan terhadap pengobatan merupakan suatu hal yang sangat problematis karena melibatkan begitu banyak faktor yang mempengaruhinya seperti kondisi psikologis, persepsi, motivasi, dan sebagainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara kepatuhan berobat dengan persepsi penderita tentang tuberkulosis paru. Metode : Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret 2010 di RSUD Moewardi Surakarta, dengan jumlah sampel 41 orang, yang diambil dari populasi penderita TB paru dengan teknik pengambilan purposive sampling. Variabel kepatuhan dan persepsi menggunakan skala nominal yang akan dihitung dengan uji chi-square menggunakan Statistic Product and Service Solution (SPSS). Hasil : Data yang diperoleh dari hasil penelitian diatas dianalisis dengan uji chi-square dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,05 dan derajat kebebasan 1. Diperoleh harga p value sebesar 0,877. Oleh karena p>0,05 maka Ho diterima dan Hı ditolak yang artinya tidak terdapat hubungan antara kepatuhan berobat dengan persepsi penderita tentang tuberkulosis paru. Simpulan : Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara kepatuhan berobat dengan persepsi penderita tentang tuberkulosis paru. Kata Kunci : Kepatuhan berobat – persepsi penderita – tuberkulosis paru ABSTRACT Purposes : Tuberculosis is a contagius infectious disease that still remains a public health problem in the world, including Indonesia. Indonesia took the third position after India and China in contributing TB patients to the world. The high number of TB population is related to the problem of TB control which is very complex. The main problem of the complexity is the low level of patient’s adherence to treatment whereas adherence is the main determinant that contribute to the successful of TB treatment. Non-adherence to the treatment is very problematic because it involves so many factors that affects it, such as psychological conditions, perceptions, motivations, and so forth. This study aimed to analyzed the relationship between treatment compliance with patient perceptions of pulmonary tuberculosis. Method : This study was an observasional analytic study with cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in March 2010 at Surakarta Moewardi District Hospital (RSUD Moewardi Surakarta), with 41 people for sample, taken from the population of pulmonary tuberculosis patients using the purposive sampling technique. The adherence and perception variable using a nominal scale that counted by chi-square using Statistic Product and Service Solution (SPSS). Result : Data that obtained from the above results were analyzed with chi-square test with 0,05 significance level and 1 degree of freedom. The result retrieved the price of p value was 0,877. Therefore, p value > 0,05, Ho received and Hı rejected which means that there was no correlation between patient perceptions and the treatment compliance of pulmonary tuberculosis. Conclusion : This research concluded that there was no relationship between treatment compliance with patient perceptions of pulmonary tuberculosis.
