× <p class="MsoNormal" xss=removed><span lang="IN" xss=removed>The existing condition of the Pacal Dam is experiencing swallowing due to sedimentation, resulting in a reduction in storage capacity. <span xss=removed>The construction of the Gongseng Dam is a solution to this problem.</span> Pacal Dam and Gongseng Dam are semi-cascade dams whose management is an integration of different rivers. <span xss=removed>Hydrological analysis was carried out to obtain the Inflow hydrograph using the Nakayasu HSS Method using the discharge value at a 500-year return period (Q<sub>500</sub>). To determine the optimal capacity in flood control, a simulation of the operation of the Pacal Dam gate was carried out using the Level Pool <i>Routing</i> method on each dam. There are four scenarios simulated in the operation of the Pacal Dam <i>spillway</i> gate, namely the gate is completely closed (scenario a), the gate is opened 50% (scenario b), the gate is opened 75% (scenario c), and the gate is fully opened (scenario d). The simulation results show that in scenario a the Pacal dam is not safe, with a maximum outflow discharge value of 60,96 m<sup>3</sup>/dt with a water level above the <i>spillway</i> of 6,03 m. In scenarios b, c, and d, the outflow discharge value is 70,28 m<sup>3</sup>/dt, 98,33 m<sup>3</sup>/dt, 123,18 m<sup>3</sup>/dt with water height above the <i>spillway</i> of 2,05 m, 1,78 m, 1,57 m. The results of the simulation of the operation of scenarios a, b, c, and d of the Gongseng Dam <i>routing</i> are safe with a maximum outflow discharge value of 199,36 m<sup>3</sup>/dt, 218,97 m<sup>3</sup>/dt, 239,14 m<sup>3</sup>/dt, 258,39 m<sup>3</sup>/dt and water height of 1,65 m, 1,76 m, 1,87 m, 1,97 m on <i>spillway</i> landmark. The best scenario is scenario d considering the height of the guard water on the <i>spillway</i></span><span xss=removed>.</span></span></p>
