The manual organization of competitions often faces challenges such as disorganized information flow and delays in processes. This study aims to develop an Online Competition System (OCS), a digital platform designed to manage competitions online from registration to result publication. The system is designed to support multi-event and multi-user functionality for five main roles: superadmin, organizer, participant, verification officer, and judge. During its development, the system produced 14 main database tables.

The system development methodology uses the Extreme Programming (XP) method, with stages including requirement analysis through discussions with the project owner, system and interface design using Figma and Draw.io, implementation using Laravel and Vue.js with the Model-View-Controller (MVC) approach, gradual system testing, and application maintenance. The testing results using the black-box method show that the system was tested in 43 scenarios, all of which ran as expected without errors.

User experience evaluation using the HEART Metrics method showed results in the very high category for Happiness (0.84), Engagement (0.82), Adoption (0.84), and Retention (0.82), and in the high category for Task Success (0.80). These results indicate that the OCS application provides an excellent user experience, facilitates the digital competition management process, and increases user engagement and satisfaction in participating in online competitions.
