Pengaruh metode pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa program profesi ners

× ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) perbedaan pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran bedside teaching dengan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik pada mahasiswa program profesi Ners, 2) perbedaan pengaruh antara motivasi belajar tinggi dengan motivasi belajar rendah terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa program profesi Ners, 3) interaksi pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa program profesi Ners. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan pendekatan pretest-posttest control group design. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada mahasiswa program profesi Ners yang sedang menempuh stase keperawatan jiwa di RSJ Prof. dr. Soeroyo Magelang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh dengan jumlah 60 mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan tes objektif untuk mengukur kemampuan kognitif komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa, daftar cek (checklist) observasi untuk mengukur kemampuan psikomotor komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa dan kuesioner untuk mengukur kemampuan afektif komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa serta motivasi belajar mahasiswa. Analisa data menggunakan uji t (t-test) untuk sampel berkorelasi dan Anava 2 jalur (two-way Anova) dengan bantuan program SPSS Versi 17. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: 1) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang bermakna antara metode pembelajaran bedside teaching dengan metode pembelajaran demonstrasi terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa dimana diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 8,378 dengan nilai p sebesar 0,000 (p = 0,05); 2) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang bermakna antara motivasi belajar tinggi dengan motivasi belajar rendah terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa dimana diperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 4,254 dengan nilai p sebesar 0,000 (p = 0,05); 3) tidak terdapat interaksi pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar terhadap kompetensi komunikasi terapetik mahasiswa dimana diperoleh nilai F hitung sebesar 0,012 dengan nilai p sebesar 0,914 (p > 0,05). Kata kunci: bedside teaching, demonstrasi, motivasi belajar, kompetensi komunikasi terapetik ABSTRACT The purposes of this study are to determine: 1) the effect difference between bedside teaching method with demonstration method toward therapeutic communication competency of the Ners profession program students, 2) the effect difference between the high learning motivation with the low learning motivation toward therapeutic communication competency of the Ners profession program students, 3) the effect interaction between learning methods with learning motivation toward therapeutic communication competency of the Ners profession program students. The research design used is an experiment with pretest-posttest control group design approach. This research is conducted on Ners profession program students who are taking nursing stase in Prof. dr. Soeroyo Mental Hospital of Magelang. Sampling technique used is exhaustive sampling with the number of 60 students. This study uses objective test to measure cognitive therapeutic communication abilities of the students, observations checklist to measure the psychomotoric therapeutic communication abilities of the students and a questionnaire to measure affective therapeutic communication and learning motivation of the students. Analysis of data using paired samples t-test and two-way Anova with SPSS version 17. The results shown that: 1) there was a significant effect difference between bedside teaching method and demonstration method toward therapeutic communication competency of students where the obtained t value was 8.378 with p value was 0.000 (p = 0.05); 2) there was a significant effect difference between high learning motivation and low learning motivation toward therapeutic communication competency of students where the obtained t value was 4.254 with p value was 0.000 (p = 0.05); 3) there was no effect interaction between learning methods and learning motivation toward the therapeutic communication competency of students where obtained F value was 0.012 with p value was 0.914 (p> 0.05).
