This internship report discusses my experience during a two-month internship program at Whatravel Indonesia, a tourism company located in Jakarta. The internship was part of the academic requirement for the English Diploma Program at Universitas Sebelas Maret. The primary responsibility of the intern was to create bilingual travel destination articles for Whatravel’s digital content, especially targeting potential travelers from the middle to upper-class segments. During the internship, the intern also completed additional activities, including translating the company profile and editing the company’s vision, mission, and goals. The internship activities integrated various language skills, including persuasive writing, copywriting, and translation. The translation process applied Nida and Taber’s theory, which involves analysis, transferring, and restructuring stages to ensure accurate and natural target-language content. The report outlines the workflow, challenges encountered, especially regarding cultural translation and phrase equivalence, and the strategies used to address them. This internship program provided the intern with practical experience in the tourism content industry, strengthening skills in both English and Indonesian, particularly in professional writing and translation.
