This report explains the objectives and activities of my internship at Anaya Azana Boutique Hotel Tawangmangu, managed by Azana Hospitality. The main goal was to apply translation skills in a real hotel environment through a bilingual content project. My main activity was creating a bilingual hotel magazine focused on local destinations and Sharia programs to attract Muslim tourists and promote religion-friendly services. The translation process followed Nida and Taber's theory: analysis, transfer, and restructuring. I applied several translation techniques based on Molina and Albir's theory, including literal translation for clarity, borrowing and established equivalents for specific terms, and transposition helped to fit grammatical structures, while reduction simplified promotional language. Amplification and description were useful for conveying Islamic terms to a general audience. One challenge was translating Sharia-related terms that lacked direct English equivalents. To solve this, I used resources such as the Cambridge Dictionary, Collins, and KBBI VI online to find accurate meanings and cultural relevance. Understanding the cultural-religious context was crucial to avoid misunderstandings, especially for non-Muslim readers. As part of the marketing content team, I also contributed to promotional activities by creating videos and photos for social media. This internship not only improved my translation skills but also developed soft skills like teamwork and communication. Overall, it helped me understand how translation impacts tourism promotion and cultural sensitivity, preparing me for a future career in the service and language industry.
