Farida Zahra Khairunisa, 2025, Translating Accessibility and Disability-Inclusive Terminology in the KONEKIN Impact Report, English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This final report discusses the translation activities conducted during my internship program at Koneksi Indonesia Inklusif (KONEKIN), from January 20th to March 10th, 2025. The primary focus of this report is the translation of the 2024 KONEKIN Impact Report from Indonesian into English, particularly accessibility-related and disability-inclusive terminology. One of the main texts I worked on was the KONEKIN Impact Report of 5,941 words. Key terms that required special attention include aksesibilitas, ruang ramah disabilitas, layanan inklusif, and komunitas disabilitas, which presented challenges due to their deep sociocultural meanings. Throughout the internship, I collaborated with peers across divisions and contributed to KONEKIN’s Employer Branding team, where I managed LinkedIn content and campaigns and translation tasks. This report concludes that translating accessibility-related content requires more than linguistic knowledge. It demands awareness of inclusive practices, audience expectations, and cultural sensitivity. The internship experience has enhanced my understanding of professional translation practice and confirmed the relevance of the English Diploma Program to real-world industry needs.
