This thesis examines the issue of moral corruption in zombie fiction through the lens of Philip Zimbardo's Lucifer Effect, which proposes that ordinary people can perform terrible deeds in response to systemic pressures and environmental circumstances. This fictional work seeks to investigate how apocalyptic situations act as psychological stages that highlight the vulnerability of human morality that change their behavior when survival is at stake.  The zombie apocalypse not only serves as a backdrop for terror but also as a trigger for ethical collapse, showing how characters undergo moral degradation similar to the behavioral shifts found in Zimbardo's Stanford Prison Experiment.
