Translating Bilingual Tourism Articles at Jogja Translator,English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret.This final report aims to describe the internship program activities carried out at JogjaTranslator, which took place from February 3 to March 27, 2025. This report seeks to explainthe activities during the internship at Jogja Translator, particularly my activities in writing andtranslating three articles. The article I wrote and translated covers topics related to tourism thatpresent different challenges. During this process, I encountered difficulties in determining thecontent to be written, and after writing the article in Indonesian, I translated it into English. Toaddress this, I utilized various tools and resources, including Google Docs, websites, Smartcat,online dictionaries, and interviews with people around me who would be featured in the article.These resources significantly aided me in streamlining the writing process and ensuring themeaning remained intact during translation. I have two main activities at Jogja Translator:writing articles and completing pieces such as Benteng Vredeburg: Saksi Bisu SejarahYogyakarta (Benteng Vredeburg: Silent Witness to Yogyakarta History), Meriahnya KampungRamadhan Jogokariyan, Destinasi Favorit berburu takjil di Jogja (Ramadan Village ofJogokariyan, a Favorite Destination for iftar delights Hunting in Jogja), and Ngadem di HutanPinus Mangunan: Tiket Murah, View Sultan! (Refreshing at Hutan Pinus Mangunan:Affordable Ticket, Magnificent View!). I discussed several terms that needed to be identified,such as takjil, iktikaf, benteng, diorama, spot, and sultan. In translating these terms, I used thetranslation techniques of Molina and Albir (2004). So, this internship is important for me todevelop and apply the knowledge I have gained during my studies. In addition, Jogja Translatorprovided me with a better understanding of the professional world, particularly in thetranslation industry, as a means of improving my skills and knowledge in the field oftranslation.
