Universitas Sebelas Maret.This report is written as the outcome of the Internship Program (Kuliah Magang Mahasiswa/KMM) undertaken by the author during the sixth semester at Jogja Translator, a translation service company based in Yogyakarta. The internship was conducted over a two months period, from February 3 to April 3, 2025, with a primary focus on the translation of tourism texts and the creation of social media content. The main objective of this program was to apply academic knowledge in a professional context, particularly in the fields of translation and digital communication. During the internship, the author was responsible for translating several tourism articles from Indonesian into English, with titles Taman Sari: Destinasi Wisata yang Memadukan Keanggunan dan Sejarah (Taman Sari: A Fascinating Combination of Elegance and History), Ngadem di Hutan Pinus Mangunan: Tiket Murah, View Sultan! (Refreshing at Hutan Pinus Mangunan: Affordable Ticket, Luxury View), Prawirotaman: “Balinya Jogja”: Perpaduan Budaya, Kuliner, dan Hiburan (Prawirotaman, the "Bali of Jogja": A Blend of Culture, Cuisine, and Entertainment). The translation process was involving the stages of analysis, transfer, and restructuring, as well as the application of techniques such as borrowing, established equivalent, and amplification. Borrowing was necessary to retain cultural authenticity and avoid loss of meaning in unique local terms, while amplification was used to provide clarity and context for international readers unfamiliar with Indonesian culture. In addition, the author also served as a content creator for Jogja Translator’s social media platforms, utilizing Canva for visual design and SmartCAT as a translation tool. The outcomes of this internship program not only strengthened the author's technical skills in translation and editing but also enhanced time management, teamwork, and creativity in digital content production. This report concludes with recommendations for students, partner institutions, and the English Diploma Program to improve future internship programs in preparing students for the professional world.
