ABSTRACTValentsia Galuh Nirmala Malika, 2025. Translating Archeological Terms Found In The Publication Board 2 of Sangiran Museum From Indonesian Into English. English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret.This internship report was written based on the writer’s experience during the internship at Sangiran Museum for three months, from February 17 to April 11, 2025. This report aims to describe all activities and difficulties encountered by the writer during the internship. The writer’s main activity is translating archaeological terms found in the publication board museum display 2. During the translation process, the writer overcame difficulties in understanding and finding appropriate equivalents for specialized terms in archaeology. To resolve this problem, the writer searched for parallel text from articles and websites on the Internet. The writer also conducted interviews with museum experts to consult on the archaeological terms, and used specialized dictionaries of archaeological terms, such as Cambridge Dictionary and Online Etymological Dictionary. Nida & Taber’s translation process was employed during the translation process of the terms, which consists of analysing, transferring, and restructuring. Meanwhile, the additional activities were helping the educator to receive museum visitors and creating a museum display handbook. Keywords: archaeological terms, sangiran museum, translation, publication board
