This internship report was written based on the internship program at Region X Heritage Preservation, which was held from February 10 to April 10, 2025. This report aims to explain activities during the internship, such as translating Chapter 3 of the book entitled Kebijaksanaan dari Sojiwan, and Cerita Binatang dalam Beberapa Relief pada Candi Sojiwan dan Mendhut, which consists of the explanation of 16 fables in Sojiwan Temple Sculptures (around 5.448 words), and making subtitles for YouTube content videos (4 videos). I applied the three steps of the translation process proposed by Nida and Taber (1982) to my translation and subtitling project, such as analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. The problems I faced in the translation and subtitling process were the limitation of my capabilities in finishing the project, I felt overwhelmed by the load of the works. I also have a lack of vocabulary, because the language used in manuscripts is sometimes ambiguous and incomprehensible for me. The solutions to the problems were that I asked for an extended deadline, then I managed my time and completed my projects remotely, thus I finished my project in 3 months. In addition, I looked for the informations of the vocabularies I did not know on the internet, such as KBBI online, Cambridge Dictionary, and website articles. After I completed the internship, I improved my hard skills in translation, which is provided useful experience to improve my language skills. I also improved my soft skills, such as managing my time, and communicating effectively in workplace.
