ABSTRACT Naufal Raihan Muflif Dzaki, 2025. Creating a Book for a Beginner Translator: Buku Saku untuk Penerjemah Pemula (Book Chapter VII-X) for Pro Translasi Malang. English Diploma Program, Vocational School, Universitas Sebelas Maret. This internship report was based on my internship activity at Pro Translasi, Malang, which began on February 3 and ended on April 4, 2025. The main activity that I conducted during the internship program was developing a book for beginner translators. Before developing the book, I made a draft from draft one to draft three. The first draft discussed the purpose of developing this book, such as the target readers, the impact that will affect the readers, and the importance of this book to the readers. The second draft discussed the theoretical points that will be included in this book. The last draft discussed the writing process and developing each theory of this book. In the process of developing the book, I needed to translate some references that I took from translation theory books because the target language of this book is Indonesian. In the translation process, I used the translation method by Nida and Taber (1982), in this translation process including three steps of translation, such as analyzing, transferring, and restructuring. In the analyzing stage, I analyzed sentences and terminology that I need to transfer to the Indonesian language, which provides the basis for the theory that would be conveyed to the target audience. The next step was transferring. In this stage, I translated all of the sentences and terminology with proper equivalence in the target language using appropriate translation techniques proposed by Molina & Albir (2002), such as modulation, adaptation, and establish equivalent. The last stage was restructuring, in this stage restructured and edited the translation result to make it more acceptable, appropriate, and easily understood by the target readers. The additional activity during this internship was preparing the webinar program organized by Pro Translasi. Through this internship program, I gained more knowledge in the field of translation and real work experience.
