Doctoral Program in Educational Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Sebelas Maret, Surakarta. This study aims to develop hypercontent-based instructional materials for a mandatory English course in order to improve grammar proficiency among non-English major students at Universitas PGRI Palembang. The research employed a modified Borg & Gall Research and Development (R&D) model, encompassing stages of needs analysis, design, development, expert validation, limited testing, wider implementation, and effectiveness evaluation. Preliminary findings revealed that students’ grammar proficiency was relatively low, with most students obtaining TOEFL scores between 420–440 (50%), 441–460 (30%), and 461–480 (20%). Following the implementation of the hypercontent-based materials, a significant improvement in grammar skills was observed, as indicated by a gain score of 0.72, categorizing the materials as highly effective in enhancing student learning outcomes. The final product consisted of printed teaching materials enriched with QR codes linked to multimedia and interactive web-based content. Expert validation results showed an average feasibility score of 87.6%, placing it in the "highly valid" category. This research recommends the use of hypercontent-based materials as an innovative alternative for English language instruction in higher education, particularly in the area of grammar.
