Rancangan percobaan merupakan langkah-langkah yang perlu diambil jauh sebelum percobaan dilakukan. Salah satu jenis rancangan percobaan adalah rancangan petak teralur, yaitu rancangan yang faktor-faktornya membutuhkan unit percobaan yang besar.
Tujuan dari penulisan skripsi ini adalah mengkaji ulang analisis rancangan petak teralur. Langkah-langkah yang dilakukan meliputi estimasi parameter, menghitung rata-rata kuadrat, mencari harga harapan rata-rata kuadrat, menentukan bentuk statistik uji dan membuat makro Minitab.
Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa rancangan petak teralur terdiri dari 3 macam petak, yaitu petak vertikal, petak horizontal dan petak interaksinya serta diperoleh juga 3 macam galat percobaan. Selain itu diperoleh makro Minitab untuk mengolah suatu percobaan yang menggunakan rancangan petak teralur 2 faktor yang mempunyai 4 level pada faktor 1 dan 5 level pada faktor 2 dengan 2 kelompok.

ABSTRACT
Design of experiments are important steps that taken before the experiment are conducted. One of the experimental designs is the strip plot design. Factors of that design require a large experimental unit.
The aim of this task is to review the analysis of strip plot design. The steps are to estimate the parameter, to calculate the mean or squares, to calculate the expected mean squares, to determine the test statistic and to make the Minitab macro.
Based on the results of discussion, it can be concluded that the strip plot design consists of three kinds of plots. They are the vertical-strip plot, horizontal-strip plot, and the intersection plot, and there are three error in that design. The Minitab macro has been obtained to process the experiment that used two factors strip plot design with four levels of factor 1, and five levels of factor 2 with two blocks.
