× ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) ada atau tidak adanya perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan STAD terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff, (2) ada atau tidak adanya perbedaan pengaruh antara motivasi belajar siswa kategori tinggi dan rendah terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff (3) ada atau tidak adanya interaksi antara pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 X 2. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Madrasah Aliyah Matholiul Huda Pucakwangi Kabupaten Pati. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Matholiul Huda Pucakwangi Kabupaten Pati Tahun Pelajaran 2008/2009 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu acak /random. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 2 kelas, yaitu kelas XA dan XC yang masing-masing terdiri dari 45 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik dokumentasi, teknik angket dan teknik tes. Teknik dokumentasi digunakan untuk memperoleh data keadaan awal siswa yang diambil dari nilai Fisika hasil ulangan harian terakhir. Teknik angket digunakan untuk mendapatkan data motivasi belajar siswa. Teknik tes digunakan untuk memperoleh data kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah anava dua jalan dengan isi sel tak sama pada taraf signifikasi 5%, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut anava yaitu komparasi ganda metode Scheffe. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: (1) tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dan STAD terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff di SMA. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT dapat menjadi model pembelajaran yang efektif daripada model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff, (2) ada perbedaan pengaruh antara motivasi belajar siswa kategori tinggi dan rendah terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff. Motivasi belajar siswa kategori tinggi lebih efektif dari pada motivasi belajar siswa kategori rendah terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff, (3) tidak ada interaksi antara pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif dan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan kognitif Fisika siswa pada sub pokok bahasan Hukum Kirchoff. ABSTRACT This aim of the research is to find out (1) there is or there is not difference of influence between the cooperative learning type of TGT and STAD with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law in senior high school, (2) there is or there is not difference of influence between the students’ motivation learning high category and lower category with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law in senior high school (3) there is or there is not interaction between influence of the cooperative learning and students’ motivation learning with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law in senior high school. This research employed an experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial designs. The research is place on Madrasah Aliyah Matholiul Huda at Pucakwangi district Pati. This population of the research is all of X Madrasah Aliyah Matholiul Huda at Pucakwangi district Pati student in the school year of 2008 / 2009, which is consist of 3 classes. The employed sampling technique is random sampling. The sampling is consists of 2 classes, XA and XC, which is consist of 45 student of each class. Techniques of collecting data are documentation, questionnaire and test. Documentation technique is used to obtain the data of students’ early capability score, which is taken from the students’ Physics value result of last daily test. Questionnaire technique is used to obtain the data of student’ motivation learning. Technique test is used to obtain the data of students’ Physics cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law subject. The employed technique of analyzing data is a two ways Anava with different cell at level of signification 5%, followed with the Anava advanced test that is Scheffe multiple comparison method. Based on result of this research, it can be concluded that: (1) there is not difference of influence between the cooperative learning type of TGT and STAD with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law in senior high school. The cooperative learning type of TGT more effective than cooperative learning type of STAD to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law,(2) there is difference of influence between the students’ motivation learning high category and lower category with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law in senior high school. The students’ motivation learning high category more effective than students’ motivation learning lower category to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law,(3) there is not interaction between influence of the cooperative learning and students’ motivation learning with respect to students’ cognitive capability at Kirchoff’s Law subject in senior high school.
