SIMULASI EFFISIENSI DETEKTOR NaI(TL) DAN HPGe MENGGUNAKAN METODE MONTE CARLO, PROGRAM MCNP5. Simulasi ini digunakan untuk menentukan nilai effisiensi detektor NaI(Tl ) dan HPGe berdimensi 1”x 1” dengan program MCNP5. Radiasi gamma berasal dari sumber titik 137Cs dan 60Co. Untuk simulasi diperlukan inputan model geometri detektor, definisi sumber, dan model pulsa cacah. Hasil simulasi digunakan untuk membandingkan effisiensi kedua detektor, dan pengaruh material casing terhadap effisiensi detektor. Jarak sumber ke masing-masing detektor divariasi dari 1 sampai 5 cm. Selanjutnya,menganalisa daerah Compton edge spektrum gamma 137Cs- nya dan membandingkannya dengan hasil eksperimen. Eksperimen menggunakan detektor sintilasi Nucleus Mode P-2000. Simulasi menunjukkan hasil yang sesuai dengan eksperimen.

ABSTRACT
SIMULATION DETECTORS EFFICIENCY OF NaI(TL) AND HPGe EMPLOYING MONTECARLO, MCNP5 SOFTWARE. The simulation was used to determine the value of the NaI(Tl) and HPGe detector efficiency with dimension 1 "x 1" employing MCNP5 program. Gamma radiation comes from a point source of 137Cs and 60Co. The inputs needed for MCNP5 are detector geometry, source definition of radiation source or sample, and pulse count model. The results of simulation are used to compare the efficiency of both detectors, and the casing material effect on the efficiency of the detector. Distance source to each detector was varied from 1 to 5 cm. Next, analyzing the Compton Edge area of 137Cs gamma spectrum and comparing them with experimental results. This experiments use a scintillation detector Nucleus Mode P-2000. Simulations results show that are in accordance with experimental results.
