Pembelajaran fisika dengan metode problem-posing secara berkelompok ditinjau dari motivasi belajar siswa terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa

× ABSTRAK Peneliti bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidak adanya: 1) perbedaan pengaruh antara metode problem-posing secara berkelompok dan metode diskusi terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa, 2) perbedaan pengaruh antara motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa, 3) interaksi antara metode pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa. Peneliti menggunakan metode eksperimen model desain faktorial (2 X 2). Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri I Jatinom Tahun Pelajaran 2007/2008 yang tediri dari 5 kelas. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purpossive sampling, yang kemudian didapat dua kelas sebagai sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA 2 , di mana kelas XI IPA 1 berjumlah 40 siswa dan kelas XI IPA 2 berjumlah 38 siswa. Pengambilan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi, angket dan tes. Metode dokumentasi digunakan untuk mengungkap data keadaan awal siswa, angket untuk mengungkap data motivasi belajar Fisika siswa, sedangkan tes digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kognitif siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran materi Termodinamika dengan metode pembelajaran problem-posing secara berkelompok dan metode diskusi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis variansi dua jalan. Uji prasyarat analisis yang digunakan adalah uji normalitas dengan uji Lilliefors dan uji homogenitas dengan uji Bartlett. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh antara metode problem-posing secara berkelompok dan metode diskusi terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa (FA = 0,5860 < F0,05;1,74 = 3,97), 2) Tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh antara motivasi belajar tinggi dan rendah terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa (FB = 0,7245 < F0,05;1;74 = 3,97), 3) Tidak ada interaksi pengaruh antara metode pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar terhadap kemampuan kognitif siswa (FAB = 0,0822 < F0,05;1,74 = 3,97). ABSTRACT The researcher ha the purpose to know whether there is: 1) different impact between group problem-solving method and discussion method toward student’s cognitive competence, 2) different impact between high and low learning motivation toward student’s cognitive competence, 3) interaction between the learning method and the students learning motivation toward student’s cognitive competence. Researcher used the experimental method factorial design mode (2 X 2). The population in this research is the whole eleventh grade students of SMA Negeri I Jatinom in 2007/2008 academic year which contained of 5 classes. The sample was taken with the purposive technique sampling, which then two classes were taken as the research sample they are XI IPA1 and XI IPA2, which are the XI IPA1 contained of 40 students in it and XI IPA2 contained of 38 students in it. The technique of collecting the data used documentation method, questioner, and test. Documentation method were used to revealed the student’s early condition data, questioner were used to revealed student’s physics learning motivation data, test were used to find out the student’s cognitive competence after they join the Termodinamika material learning process by using group problem-posing method and discussion method. Technique of analyzing the data being used in this research was two way variances analysis. Prerequisite test analyses being used in this research were normality test accompanying with Liliefors test and homogeneities test accompanying with Barlett test. From the research outcome, it can be concluded that: 1) There is no different impact between group problem-posing method and discussion method toward student’s cognitive competence (……..), 2) There is no different impact between high and low learning motivation toward student’s cognitive competence (………..), 3) there is no interaction between the learning method and the students learning motivation toward student’s cognitive competence.
