× ABSTRAK Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui (1) Langkah kepala sekolah dalam menyusun rencana kerja di sekolah dasar Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. (2) Kegiatan kepala sekolah dalam mengimplementasikan rencana kerja di sekolah dasar Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. (3) Kegiatan evaluasi dan monitoring yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah di sekolah dasar Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. (4) Faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat kepala sekolah dalam memimpin sekolah dasar Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Negeri Balerejo 1, Kecamatan Dempet, Kabupaten Demak. Penelitian dilakukan dalam jangka waktu 8 (delapan) bulan yang berlangsung mulai bulan Pebruari sampai bulan September 2009. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yang menggunakan latar alami (natural setting). Penelitian ini implementasi kurikulum tingkat satuan pendidikan di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. Penyusunan perencanaan rencana kerja kepala sekolah dalam upaya mempengaruhi guru dan staf untuk mau bekerja sama agar melakukan tindakan dan perbuatan dalam mencapai tujuan bersama di Sekolah Dasar Balerejo Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. Kegiatan perencanaan dalam manajemen sekolah di SD Sekolah Dasar Negeri Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak meliputi : (a) Sosialisasi dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah, guru dan komite sekolah kepada masyarakat melalui pertemuan-pertemuan yang dapat menumbuhkan kesedian tentang peran serta masyarakat dalam memajukan sekolah. (b) Rapat-rapat yang dilaksanakan oleh kepala sekolah dengan dewan guru. (c) Rapat-rapat yang dilaksanakan oleh pengurus sekolah. (d) Rapat bersama antara kepala sekolah, guru dan komite sekolah serta tokoh masyarakat. Implementasi rencana kerja di sekolah dasar Balerejo Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak. Pelaksanaan manajemen di SD Sekolah Dasar Negeri Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak adalah: (a) Semua pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan secara terbuka dan selalu berkordinasi dengan komite sekolah bahkan dilibatkan baik dalam kegiatan akademik maupun non akademik. (b) Dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan-kegiatan selalu dibentuk kepanitiaan meskipun pada prakteknya dilakukan secara bersama-sama. (c) Walaupun jumlah guru yang hanya 10 dengan status PNS dan wiyata bakti tidak menjadi hambatan untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa. Pengorganisasian dalam manajemen sekolah meliputi: (a) Rapat guru untuk membicarakan kegiatan yang akan segera dilaksanakan, (b) Koordinasi antar panitia kegiatan yang telah dibentuk, (c) Koordinasi antar panitia, guru dan komite sekolah, (d) Penyampaian informasi dari pihak sekolah kepada masyarakat sepengatahuan komite. Evaluasi dan Monitoring Yang dilakukan oleh Kepala Sekolah. Pengawasan yang dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah di Sekolah Dasar Negeri Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak melakukan hal-hal sebagai berikut: (a) Setiap kegiatan selalu dievaluasi, (b) Evaluasi bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil kegiatan dan sebagi bahan pertimbangan kegiatan diwaktu yang akan datang. (c) Evaluasi dilaksanakan secara terbuka dalam forum dewan guru. Faktor pendukung yang menonjol dalam kepemimpinan kepala sekolah di SD Negeri Balerejo 1 Kecamatan Dempet Kabupaten Demak, adalah dukungan guru walaupun guru wiyata bakti. Dukungan guru tersebut merupakan kemampuan kepala sekolah dalam membentuk team work yang kompak dan transparan. Dalam manajemen berbasis sekolah, keberhasilan program-program sekolah didukung oleh kinerja team work yang kompak dan transparan dari berbagai pihak yang terlibat dalam pendidikan di sekolah. Keberhasilan manajemen berbasis sekolah merupakan hasil sinergi dari kolaborasi tim yang kompak dan transparan. Kata kunci : Perencanaan, Pengorganisasian, Kepemimpinan, dan Prestasi Sekolah ABSTRACT The aims of this research are to find out: (1) the measures taken by the school principal in arranging the work program of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency, (2) the activities done by the principal in relation to the implementation of the work program of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency, (3) the monitoring and evaluation activities executed by the school principal of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency, and (4) the factors that support and inhibit the school principal in leading State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency. This research used a descriptive method with a qualitative approach using natural setting. It was conducted at State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency for eight month from February to September 2009. This research was the implementation of the educational unit level curriculum of State Principal School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency. The result of this research are as follows. The arrangement of the work program by the school principal aims at influencing the teachers and administration staffs to work cooperatively so as to reach the objectives of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency. The school management planning activities of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency cover the following: (a) the socializations conducted by the school principal, the teachers, and the school committee members to the community through meetings, which can grow and encaurage the participation of the community for the school advancement, (b) meetings conducted by the school principal with the School Board, (c) meetings conducted by the School Management, and (d) the collective meetings conducted by the school principal, the teachers, the school committee, and the community figures. The implementation of work program at State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency covers the management implementation: (a) all of the implementation of the work program activities, academic and non-academic ones, is done transparently and is always coordinated with the school committee; (b) in every implementation of the work program activities, a committee is always formed, but in its practice all component are involved; (c) although thete are only 10 staffs bearing civil servant status and practice-teaching status, this does not become a constraint to the improvement of the students’ learning achievement. The management organizing of the school include: (a) teachers’ meetings to discuss the activities that will immediately be conducted, (b) inter-coordination of the committee formed for each activity, (c) coordination between the committee, the teachers, and the school committee, and (d) the dissemination of information from the school ti the community. The monitoring and evaluation conducted by the school principal of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency include the following: (a) every activity is always evaluated; (b) the evaluation aims at finding out of results of the activity, which become the reference for same activities in the future or for the coming activities; (c) the monitoring and evaluation is done transparently in the forum of Teachers Board. The main supporting factor in the leadership of the school principal of State Primary School Balerejo 1 Dempet Sub-district, Demak regency results from the support of the teachers even though some of them bear the practice-teaching status. Such a support becomes the asset of the school principal to from transparent and solid teamwork. In the School-Based Management, the successfulness of the school programs is supported by the performance of the teamwork. The successfulness of the School-Based Management is a synergy of the collaboration of transparent and solid teamwork. Keyword: Planning, implementation, organizing, evaluation, school achievement
