× ABSTRAK Material merupakan komponen yang penting dalam menentukan besarnya biaya suatu proyek. Penggunaan material di lapangan seringkali menimbulkan sisa material yang cukup besar sehingga usaha meminimalkan sisa material akan membantu meningkatkan keuntungan kontraktor serta mengurangi dampak lingkungan. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan identifikasi untuk mengetahui material yang berpotensi menimbulkan sisa material dan mengetahui persentase kerugian yang disebabkan oleh terjadinya sisa material. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif untuk menghitung kuantitas sisa material dan metode wawancara untuk mengetahui faktor penyebab sisa material. Proyek yang digunakan sebagai objek penelitian yaitu Proyek Gedung Pendidikan dan Laboratorium 8 Lantai Fakultas Kedokteran UNS Tahap 1. Data proyek yang diperlukan berupa gambar konstruksi untuk menghitung kebutuhan material, laporan harian untuk menghitung pembelian material, dan harga satuan bahan untuk menghitung biaya sisa material. Untuk mendukung hasil penelitian, dilakukan wawancara langsung dengan kontraktor. Hasil analisis data penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase biaya sisa material terbesar berasal dari material Beton K-300 sebesar 37,43% atau senilai Rp 3.908.127, faktor penyebab utama berasal dari sisa beton yang tercecer dan masih tertinggal pada truk. Sedangkan persentase total biaya sisa material terhadap total biaya proyek sebesar 0,23% atau senilai Rp 10.441.825. Kata kunci : kebutuhan material, pembelian material, sisa material ABSTRACT Materials are an important component in determining the cost of a project. Use of material in the field often creates large enough excess material, so that the effort to minimize waste materials will help contractors to increase profits and reduce environmental impact. It is necessary for identification to determine the potential material that cause waste materials, and to find out the percentage of losses caused by waste materials. This research uses descriptive quantitative analysis method to calculate the quantity of waste material and interview methods to determine the causes of waste materials. Project that are used as object of study is on The 8 Stories Education and Laboratory Building Project Faculty of Medicine UNS 1st Stage. Project data that is required are construction drawings to calculate the material needs, daily reports to calculate the purchase of materials, and material unit price to calculate the waste cost. To support the research, conducted direct interviews with the contractor. Results of data analysis showed that the largest percentage of the waste cost comes from K-300 Concrete material amount to 37,43% or equivalent IDR 3.908.127, the main factor derived from the remaining concrete and scattered remains of the mixer truck. While the percentage of the total waste cost to the total project cost amount to 0,23% or equivalent IDR 10.441.825. Keywords : material needs, purchase of materials, waste materials
