× ABSTRACT This time, Department of Informatics Engineering, Sebelas Maret University still uses manually archiving, which records every incoming mail and outgoing mail. It saves letters in the storage lockers that have not been organized well. That’s why it is difficult to search old letters. Sometimes there is mistake in numbering letter because there is no system that helps to organize. The aim of this application is to create an archivist application at Department of Informatics Engineering, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta. Archivists application is an application that facilitates the user in archiving. This application will automatically display the number of letters in accordance with the applicable numbering format. Besides, this application also supports many templates of letter that commonly used, so it will help the operator in making a letter. This aplication was developed using the PHP programming language and MySQL as the database. Archivist application has been built at Department of Informatics Engineering, Sebelas Maret University, Surakarta which help to archiving. Keyword : PHP, MySQL, Archivist
