× Adanya layanan GPRS membuka peluang bagi para pengembang software
handphone untuk membuat aplikasi yang fleksibel dan tidak terfokus pada stand
alone system. Banyak aplikasi-aplikasi client server bermunculan dengan beragam
fungsi dan manfaat.
Pembuatan Sistem Informasi Ronda berbasis Mobile yang dapat
membantu para anggota ronda memperoleh informasi jadwal ronda dengan
memanfaatkan Handphone bagi para anggota ronda. Pada aplikasi ini
menggunakan SOAP yaitu spesifikasi untuk bertukar informasi dalam
pelaksanaan layanan web di jaringan komputer, dan pada sistem applikasi
mobilenya menggunakan bahasa pemrogramman J2ME ( Java 2 Micro edition) .
Selain itu, dalam aplikasi ini juga digunakan teknologi JAX-RPC dan protocol
koneksi HTTP dalam proses pertukaran data antara aplikasi mobile dengan web
server
Aplikasi Mobile memiliki ukuran file jar anggota 228KB jenis software
berbasis smart client memiliki dua menu utama yaitu menu jadwal ronda dan
menu denda ronda. Menu jadwal menamplikan Jadwal anggota ronda dan menu
denda ronda menampilkan peringatan denda bagi anggota yang tidak bisa
menghadiri ronda.

ABSTRACT
The existence of GPRS gives a great opportunity towards mobile phone
software developer. To make a flexible application which is not focused on stand
alone system, there are a lot of client server application with various functions and
benefits.
The making of this mobile-based Patrol Information system which can help
people to get information of patrol schedule through their mobile. This application
uses SOAP is a spesification for exchanging information in a web service
implementation in a computer network, and application system programme using
J2ME (Java 2 micro edition). In addition , the application technology is also used
JAX-RPC and HTTP protocol in the process of exchanging data between applications
with web servers.
Mobile Applications have a jar file size of 228KB and the type of software
was smart client has two main menu they are schedule of members of patrol and
patrol fine. The schedule menu show member’s schedule and patrol fine was
displayed a warning penalty fines for members who couldn’t attend the patrol
