× ABSTRAK Pada zaman globalisasi seperti saat ini, manusia tentu ingin ada suatu alat yang dapat membantu meringankan kerjanya. Keinginan itu sekarang dapat terwujud karena semakin pesatnya perkembangan pada dunia mikrokontroler. Mikrokontroler dipilih karena selain dapat mempermudah pekerjaan juga memiliki tingkat ketelitian yang cukup tinggi dibanding dengan alat manual. Dalam Penelitian Tugas Akhir ini akan dibuat prototype portal otomatis. Prototype ini dirancang untuk mempermudah kerja dari penjaga portal. Portal otomatis ini dibuat dengan sensor PIR (Passive Infra Red) sebagai inputan dan motor dc sebagai output untuk menggerakkan portal otomatis. Sedangkan mikrokontrolernya menggunakan mikrokontroler ATMega8535. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa Prototype portal otomatis ini dapat digunakan sebagai dasar jika sesorang ingin membuat portal otomatis yang sebenarnya. Kata kunci : Mikrokontroler ATMega 8535, sensor PIR (Passive Infra Red), motor DC ABSTRACT In the globalization era like today, people certainly want to have a tool that can help lighten the work. That desire can now be realized because of the rapid developments in the world of microcontrollers. Microcontroller is chosen because in addition may facilitate the work that also has a fairly high level of accuracy compared with manual tools.In this final research prototype portal will be created automatically. This prototype was designed to facilitate the work of the guards the portals. Auto Portal was created with PIR sensor (Passive Infra Red) as input and output dc motor to move the portal as an automatic. While the microcontroller was used microcontroller ATMega8535. It was concluded that Prototype automated portals can be used as a basis if someone wants to make automatic the actual portal.
