× ABSTRACT Since 2005, Sebelas Maret University of Surakarta already has an on line service through the portals of Academic Information System (SIAKAD) for each faculty in UNS. This system is a facility for students and lecturers of UNS to access a various of academic data via the Internet from anywhere and anytime. By visiting the website: http://siakad.uns.ac.id user can access biographical data and a various of academic data such as Kartu Hasil Studi, Kartu Rencana Studi, class schedules, and other academic information. Basicly, the manager of SIAKAD UNS has an intention to continuosly provide the best service to users. Unfortunately it is still often appears many complaints related to its use. Complaints from users has not yet been structured so that the administrator is difficult to formulate appropriate and effective solutions. The objective of this study are to determine the usability attributes from user perceptions of SIAKAD TI UNS as the preparation of the development suggestion. This study consists of five stages. The first stage is searching relevant attribute by literature study to get a list of initial usability attributes of SIAKAD. The second, identifying the attributes to get additional attributes by reponden. The third, determining the important attributes by using association analysis to get the attributes that have the same weight of importance. The fourth, analysing using factor analysis to find new factors extraction. The fifth stage is composing the development suggestion of SIAKAD TI UNS through Focus Group Discussion to identify usability issues in greater detail in the SIAKAD TI UNS obtained in the previous stage and to find solutions to existing problems. This research produced 27 usabilities attributes of SIAKAD TI UNS that can be extract by 8 factor, they are Simplicity and Reliability, Feature Availability, Information Quality, Efficiency, Responsivness and Learnability, Acceleration and Record Availability, Accessibility and Problem Solve, Consistency and Security. Finally, 20 development suggestion of SIAKAD TI UNS are generated according to its usability factors. Key words: Usability, Website, Cochran Test, Factor Analysis.
