× Abstrak This research for this final task is aimed at understanding how large the difference of parking retribution potential and parking tax potential in Surakarta. Not only that, but also to understanding the factors caused it. The step of this research is done by comparing between theory, deriving from the reference book that is relevant and law on RPKD and RRPH, and also the actual field practice. The writer did a quantitative analysis to comparing the the difference of parking retribution potential and parking tax potential to the local income of Surakarta. It can be shown that the potential of parking retribution in 2010 is Rp 105.840.000,-and the potential of parking tax in 2010 is Rp 72.571.200,-. By doing the qualitative analysis, we can know the factors that make the difference between parking retribution potential and parking tax potential to the local income of Surakarta, that is the internal person and external person. Therefore, the writer can conclude that parking tax more potential than parking retribution to the local income. Based on the result of research, the writer give some suggestion. Such as give training to parking man and choose a person to inspect parking man and help the parking management.
