× The purpose of this research is to improve and enhance the professional service educators in dealing with the learning process accounting subjects in class X Accounting SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta 2009/2010 academic year through the implementation of Authentic Learning learning model. This study used the class action approach. The object of this study were students of class X Accounting SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta, amounting to 26 students. This research was conducted with the collaboration between classroom teachers, researchers, and involving students. Implementation of measures in this study was done with the simulation in advance by the researchers to classroom teachers about learning authentic learning model to be applied. Data collected by interview, observation, testing and documentation. The procedure includes the stages of research: (1) identification of issues, (2) preparation of action plans, (3) implementation of the action, (4) observations, and (5) preparation of reports. The research process was conducted in two cycles, each cycle consisting of four stages, namely: (1) planning action, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation and interpretation, and (4) analysis and reflection. Each cycle carried out in three meetings. Based on research that has been implemented, it can be concluded that there is increased performance through the application of accounting subjects learning method based on a model problem Authentic Learning in class X Accounting SMK Bina Mandiri Indonesia Surakarta. This is reflected by several indicators, namely: (1) Students who are active during apersepsi activity increased by 14.62% from 65.38% in the first cycle increased to 80% on the second cycle, (2) Students who are active during learning activities increased by 15%, from 70% in the first cycle increased to 85% on the second cycle, (3) Students who have been proper and thorough in doing practice questions increased by 30%, from 60% in the first cycle increased to 90% on the second cycle, (4) completeness results student learning increased by 15:39%, from 76.92% in the first cycle increased to 92.31% in cycle II,. It can be seen from the end of the continuously increasing from cycle I to cycle II. This increase occurred after the teachers take some action, among others: (1) application of learning methods based on problems with the model of Authentic Learning in implementing learning, (2) teachers create new innovation in delivering accounting studies using
