×Abstrak :
One effort to overcome the shortcomings of conventional penetration 60/70 bitumen is to use a polymer modified asphalt as a hot asphalt mix material that can increase the temperature resistance, resistance to load, adhesion and cohesion. This study aims to determine the material properties of asphalt, asphalt mix properties of asphalt concrete with polymer Bituplus with penetration 60/70 asphalt and asphalt mix performance of asphalt concrete with polymer Bituplus with penetration 60/70 asphalt pavement thickness seen from the overlay plan using software as well as bands and SPDM component analysis method based on Pedoman Perencanaan Tebal Perkerasan Lentur Tahun 2002.
This study used experimental methods in the laboratory and the method of correlation analysis and using manual calculation component analysis method 2002. Input data obtained from laboratory testing of asphalt in the form of penetration test, test the softening point, ductility test, flash point test, test and use marshall road damage survey data, existing data in the form of data LHR, tespit data and CBR data.
Results of analysis showed that the material properties of Bituplus asphalt: results of the penetration and softening point has a higher value of penetration 60/70 asphalt, the test flash point lower than in and Penetration 60/70 asphalt, test results are equal to the ductility penetration 60/70 bitumen that is more than 100 cm. Comparison of asphalt concrete mixtures using the Bituplus Asphalt for stability was 898.853 kg, flow amounted to 3.61 mm and porosity of 11.05%. higher than using penetration 60/70 asphalt, but for the performance of asphalt concrete mixtures seen from the plan with the asphalt overlay thickness using the SPDM Bituplus thicker than with Penetration 60/70 Asphalt. While the thickness of the overlay plan with Component Analysis Method, 2002, between Bituplus Asphalt and Penetration 60/70 Asphalt have the same thickness.
