The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant
correlation between: (1) The level of income with the interests of parents in
sending their children to school, (2) The level of parents’ education with the
interests of parents in sending their children to school, (3) The needs of farm
families with the interests of parents in sending their children to school, (4) The
level of income, the level of parents’ education, and the needs of farm families
with the interests of farmers in sending their children to school.
This study uses description correlation study. The population was all
residents of Doplang Village, Karangpandan Sub District, and samples were taken
by using proportionate random sampling technique. Samples taken were 50
farmers in Doplang Village. Data was collected by using questionnaires and
documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used was statistical analysis
with multiple regressions.
Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that: (1) The level of
income does not affect the interests of parents in sending their children to school
by contribution in only 0, 831% or 1%, (2) The level of parents’ education affects
the level of interests of parents in sending their children to school by an effective
contribution in 9.084% or 9%, (3) The needs of farm families affect the interests
of parents in sending their children to school by contribution in 12.546% or 13%,
(4) The level of income, the level of parents’ education, and the needs of farm
families affect significantly to the interest of parents in sending their children to
school by contribution in 22.461% 22.5%.
