× The aim of this study is to increase the studying achievement of reading beginners Indonesian Subject by using AISMA method for deaf and mute students class II Exceptional Elementary School in SLB ABCD “YPALB” Cepogo Boyolali in the school year 2008/2009. The subject this study is all of the deaf and mute students class 2 Exceptional Elementary School SLB ABCD YPALB Cepogo Boyolali in the school year 2008/2009 that totals 5 students, consisting of 3 girls and 2 boys. The technique of collecting data used in this study in observation, test, and documentation method. To analyze the data this study uses descriptive quantitative that is to count the result and percentage of the students activity, the teacher‟s activity and the students studying reading achievement. The research of this study shows: in the improving phase of the cycle I the class average value increases 8 namely 59 becoming 67. So the classical exhaustiveness 20% namely 40% becoming 60%. In the improving phase of the cycle II the class average value increases 9 namely 67 becoming 76, so the classical exhaustiveness increases 40% namely in the cycle I it is 60% and in the cycle II it becomes 100%. Therefore the working indicator has been reached, so the achievement of reading beginners can increase. This study concludes that the using of AISMA method can increase the studying achievement of reading beginners for the deaf and mute student class II Exceptional Elementary School SLB ABCD YPALB Cepogo Boyolali in the school year 2008/2009.
