× Abstrak : This research is intended to know (1) the quality of the final test item of chemistry subject of SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010 viewed from aspects material, construction and language, (2) the distribution of cognitive step Bloom taxonomy that is measured by final test item of chemistry subject of SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010, (3) the quality of the final test item of chemistry subject of SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010 viewed from aspects validity, reliability, difficulty index, index of different power, effectiveness key question and effectiveness distractor, (4) the Achievement competence level by students of SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010. This research method is descriptive. The techniques of collecting the data are documentary, interview, and questioner. Source of data are sheet of the chemistry final test item SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010, student’s answer respons, data of standard competence and basic competence. Qualitative analysis of chemistry test item include aspects material, construction and language, and distribution of cognitive step Bloom taxonomy, whereas the quantitative analysis of chemistry test item include aspects reliability, difficulty index, index of different power, effectiveness key question, effectiveness destructor and achievement competence level by students. Based on the result of analysis final test item of SMA Negeri 8 Surakarta in the academic year 2009/2010, there are some conclusions that can be drawn: (1) viewed from aspects material, construction and language there are 6% of items not appropriate with aspects material, 6% of items not appropriate with aspects construction and 12% of items not appropriate with aspects language, (2) distribution of cognitive step Bloom taxonomy that measured are C1 46%, C2 43%, C3 11%, C4 0%, C5 0% dan C6 0%, (3) viewed from aspect face validity the final test item of chemistry subject of SMA Negeri 8 Suarakarta in the academic year 2009/2010 are valid, but from aspect logical validity there is one item that not valid. From the reliability analysis, it was obtained the coefficient reliability 0,742 that was on high criteria. From aspect difficulty index, 3% item is on easy criteria, 82% items are on middle criteria and 15% items are on difficult criteria. From aspect index of different power, 29% items are on accepted criteria, 27% items are on accepted and repaired criteria, 32% items are on repaired criteria and 12% items are on drop criteria. From aspect effectiveness key question 3 items are not effective/not functioned. From aspect effectiveness destructor, there are 21 items destructor not effective/not functioned, (4) achievement competence level by students are 56,5% students can achieve the first competence, 40,1% students can achieve the second competence, 52,7% students can achieve the third competence and 52,4% students can achieve the fourth competence.
