× ABSTRAK This objective of this study is to examine the influence of corporate governance mechanism, namely gender of commissioner, gender of director, and manajerial ownership to the firm performance. This study also examines firm’s size, leverage, and firm’s age to the firm performance as control variables. This study take sample from Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) year 2008 for 111 companies used were chosen based on purposive sampling. Analysis method used to test the hypotheses was multiple regression. The result of this study shows that (1) gender of commissioner had negative influence to firm performance, (2) gender of director had not influence to firm performance, and (3) manajerial ownership also had not influence to firm performance.
