× The objective of this study is to know how the contributions of the language laboratory management in English teaching and learning process. It focuses on how Sebelas Maret University Language Center (UPT P2B) runs the language laboratory management and what contributions given by the language laboratory management to the English teaching and learning activities there. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method because the data are in the form of words which are best analyzed by describing them. The sources of data of the research are events, informants, and document. The techniques of collecting the data of this research are interview, observation, and document analysis. The writer took triangulation, informant review, and perseverance of researcher to check the trustworthiness of the data. The result of qualitative data is analyzed in three stages namely the data reduction, data presentation/data display, and conclusion drawing. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the language laboratory management activities consists of at least three activities, time management, people management, and facilities. The language laboratory management gives benefits in English teaching and learning process. So, the language laboratory managers, the teachers, and the students should monitor how the management runs. At the end of the research, the writer wants give some suggestions for the language laboratory managers, the teachers, the students, and the other researchers in order to make the language laboratory management keep on improving: (1) language laboratory management should be controlled by the manager and the language laboratory user; (2) the teachers and the students should increase their creativity in English teaching and learning in the language laboratory so that it not only raises the achievement of their English but also, later on, affects the management to improve the service and facilities of language laboratory; (3) the other researcher will implement or lead the language laboratory user (teacher and students) toward the various and interesting techniques of using language laboratory in the English teaching learning activities.
