× Travel and Tourism are two things which cannot be separated. Travel done for several motives or purposes will perform the activity of tourism. Traveling activity happens for several motives including getting pleasure like sightseeing to historical, natural, or cultural sites; having certain business, and education—study tour or getting academic degree. As technology is growing fast, travel by air is much preferable due to its effectiveness and efficiency to reach far places in a short time. To smooth people‟s travel, travel agency plays important role in such situation. People who want to take a flight should make reservation in advance. “Mandiri Tour and Travel” is a travel agency of which primary product is airline ticket. Thereby, handling reservation is the main activity and very significant. To make reservation, the staff of the agency should know relevant information needed by customer covering flight route, flight timing, number of passenger, kind of trip, flight cost, passengers‟ name and contact telephone. This agency has applied Computer Reservation system (CRS) enabling to handle reservation in computer. After completion of reservation the staff should issue ticket. Issuing ticket can be performed by writing or just printing according to the kind of ticket. In handling reservation, sometimes the staffs face miscommunication with the customer, do wrong procedure or they are less prepared; or sometimes they can‟t do reservation due to the reservation system is in error. As the main activity is supporting people traveling by air, the staff of the agency should improve the service and be well-prepared so that it will bring good profit for both sides that are satisfaction to customer and benefits for agency especially in ticket selling.
