× The economic development basically aims to create a high economic growth and evenly distribution of development, so that the society welfare is achieved. PDRB per capita value in Central Java Province improved over years during 2005-2009, but its average belonged to the lowest category compared with other provinces in Java Island, so that an appropriate policy is required to cope with such the problem. This research aims to find out the effect of Local Original Income (PAD), loan, saving, local expense and population density variables on the PDRB of Regency / Municipal in Central Java in 2009. The hypothesis is that there is a positive significant effect of those independent variables on the PDRB of Regency / Municipal in Central Java in 2009. This study employed a multiple linear regression analysis with OLS method using cross-sectional data of 2009 from 35 regencies/municipals in Central Java Province. The instrument of analysis used was a multiple linear regression, statistic test (t-, F-, and R2-tests) and classical assumption test (multicolinearity, heteroscedasticity, and autocorrelation). The result of regression analysis at α = 5% showed that: firstly, the loan and expense variables partially affected significantly, while PAD, saving, and population density affected insignificantly the PDRB of Regency / Municipal in Central Java in 2009. Secondly, the five variables simultaneously affected significantly the PDRB of Regency / Municipal in Central Java in 2009. Based on the result of research, the following recommendations could be given. Firstly, the central government and society should supervise directly and properly the realization of development fund sources such as PAD and local expense; secondly, the government should provide more adequate public infrastructures such as providing the wide job opportunity and training human resource; thirdly, the bank should open a wider access for the society to get loan easily; and fourthly, the government should reduce the interest rate to improve the investment for funding the development.
