× The pros and cons about the ins and outs of television media especially towards the golden age (2-10 years) children’s life development and talent always happen. Of the various controversies, the experts found that television media has more benefit for children, it’s because television is able to provide audio visual stimulation so that it can increase their curiosity, attention, concentration, spur their logical and creative ability, improve and support their effectiveness and efficiency learning process by 20-50%, even the government favored the local television station’s emergence by boosting people’s life intellectual. Refers to the benefits, development, and other supporting factors in Surakarta so it is necessary to set up a private children television station for 2-10 years age which serves as an edutainment media. The methods that used for analyzing problems are: doing exploration on literature studies (about television and its effects, extract the good side of media by the children, communication and television’s experts, architectural terms about determining spaces, location, circulation, mass layout, shape appearance, structure, acoustic, utilities, and material that are used), field studies (interviews with the studio leader, technicians, and television station’s staff), and the comparative studies of TV station and broadcast media that already exist. Those 3 methods are processed so as to produce formulas: kinds of activities with their users at the television station and children facilities; kinds of spaces derived from the program studies on television station; television station’s establishment location is at Adi Sucipto street on the former factory site of Garudatex Karangasem based on the site determination studies in terms of law, accessibility, and the site condition; site and space’s circulation towards users’ activities; mass layout is formed into imaginative cube’s stacking, which bring attractive, informative and communicative shape appearance by exposing the form of mixing console (a control tool that used for program production process on television) and plasma screen look at the exterior which those formulas are adjusting television station and 2-10 years old children’s characters; structure, acoustic mat installation, utilities and material’s applications for building the television station as the main one, children facilities as the supporting one. Based on the above analysis so obtained the product of children television station in Surakarta, which able to solve controversies about the media. It’s expected to grow rapidly and well known on local, national, through international scale.
