× In the tourism industry, Hotel is one of crucial factors to develop in tourism field. Many ways are done to increase the facilities and services in the hotel to get customer’s satisfaction. A hotel has many departments for its operational activities; one of them is Food and Beverage Department. This department has important responsibility to maintain the quality of food and beverage services and products. Food and Beverage Department has many subdivisions that are responsible to maintain the duties of each division. One of Food and Beverage divisions is Banquet Section. This division has responsibilities to handle events which are held in Hotel, from preparing many kinds which are needed in an event, setting up, until servicing the guests in the event. This final project describes the problem of banquet section in handling events at Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo, such as limited worker, lack of tools and equipments, bad coordination with other departments, miscommunication among banquet staffs, unpredictable weather and place. The writer also writes problem solution such as recruitment staffs, increase the number of tools and equipments, keep good communication well with other departments, and care about customers convenient and professionalism. This final project report is written based on the writer experiences in doing the job training for three months in Banquet Section at Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo. Hopefully, this final project report will be beneficial for the hotel to improve the services quality. For the student of English Diploma Program, hopefully this final project can be reference to make a report. For the readers, hopefully this final project report is expected to be able to give information about Banquet Section of Sahid Jaya Hotel Solo
