×Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya
pada peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Sukoharjo 03 tahun pelajaran 2012 dengan
menerapan pendekatan Somatis Auditori Visual Intelektual (SAVI).
Dengan demikian variabel yang terlibat dalam penelitian ini adalah
pendekatan Somatis Auditori Visual Intelektual (SAVI) sebagai variabel bebas
dan pemahaman konsep gaya sebagai variabel terikat.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Penelitian
dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan,
pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta
didik kelas IV SD Negeri Sukoharjo 03 yang berjumlah 31 peserta didik. Sumber
data berasal dari guru dan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah dengan
observasi, wawancara, tes, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan teknik
triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Teknik analisis data menggunakan
analisis model interaktif . Prosedur penelitian adalah model spiral yang saling
berkaitan.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan pendekatan
Somatis Auditori Visual Intelektual (SAVI) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman
konsep gaya peserta didik dari prasiklus ke siklus I dan dari siklus I ke siklus II.
Proses pembelajaran pada prasiklus bersifat konvensional sehingga pemahaman
konsep gaya peserta didik rendah dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 61,74 dan
ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 48.39%. Peningkatan terjadi pada siklus I dan siklus
II. Pada siklus I pemahaman konsep peserta didik meningkat walaupun belum
optimal dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 70.69 dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 67.74%.
Pelaksanaan siklus II menyebabkan pemahaman konsep gaya menjadi baik
dengan nilai rata-rata kelas 80.59 dan ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 83.87%.
Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan pendekatan Somatis Auditori
Visual Intelektual (SAVI) dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep gaya pada
peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Sukoharjo 03 tahun pelajaran 2012.
The objective of this research is to improve force concept understanding
for the fourth graders of SD Negeri Sukoharjo 03 academic year 2012 by applying
Somatic Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) approach.
Variable which is involved in this research is Somatic Auditory Visual
Intellectual (SAVI) approach as independent variable and force concept
understanding as dependent variable.
This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The research was
done in two cycles with each cycle consists of planning, the implementation steps,
observation, and reflection. The subject of this research is the fourth graders of SD
Negeri Sukoharjo 03 which consists of 31 students. The data of this report is
collected from the teachers and students. Technique of collecting data is done by
doing the observation, interview, test, and documentation. Validity of the data is
using technique of source triangulation and technique triangulation. Technique of
data analysis is interactive model analysis. Research procedure is interrelated
spiral model.
The result of this research shows that through the application of Somatic
Auditory Visual Intellectual (SAVI) approach is able to improve force concept
understanding of the students from pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle I to cycle II.
Learning process in the pre-cycle is conventional, therefore force concept
understanding of the students is low – by the class average mark is 67,74 and the
classical completeness is 48,39%. The increasing is occurred in cycle I and II. On
the cycle I, force concept understanding increases by the class average mark is
70,69 and the classical completeness is 67,74%. On the cycle II, force concept
understanding increases by the class average 80.59 and the classical completeness
is 83.87%.
The conclusion of this research is the application of Somatic Auditory
Visual Intellectual (SAVI) approach is able to increase force concept
understanding for the fourth graders of SD Negeri Sukoharjo 03 academic year of
2012.
