× The purpose of the research to find out how the material inventory accounting system in PT PLN (Persero) Area of Surakarta. The study was conducted in a way comparing inventory accounting System Operating Procedure (SOP) with real material inventory accounting system that is in PT PLN (Persero) Area Surakarta The results for material inventory accounting system of PT PLN (Persero) Area Surakarta is divided into material inventory procedures for material from the partners, between warehouses, return of materials and material expenses of warehouse procedures, to usage and repairs. The conclusion of the research in PT PLN (Persero) Area Surakarta done the inventory accounting system well. All the system which are state in SOP have been applied to the realization material inventory accounting system. Excess of inventory accounting system is situated on the separation of source material and uses the revenue expenditure of material. Keyword : accounting system, inventory
