Profil miskonsepsi siswa pada konsep suhu dan kalor kelas XI SMA

× Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mendeskripsikan profil miskonsepsi yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA kelas XI pada materi Suhu dan Kalor. Penelitian miskonsepsi ini menggunakan metode yang sesuai dengan paradigma penelitian kuantitatif yang bersifat noneksperimental yaitu metode deskriptif. Sampel yang diambil adalah adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN Kebakkramat yang terdiri dari 133 siswa dan seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 5 Surakarta yang terdiri dari 104 siswa. Data penelitian tentang miskonsepsi siswa diperoleh dari instrumen penelitian berupa perangkat tes identifikasi miskonsepsi berbentuk tes objektif dengan alasan sudah ditentukan sedangkan teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif . Dari hasil tes identifikasi miskonsepsi dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa banyak yang mengalami miskonsepsi. Adapun profil miskonsepsi yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA Negeri Kebakkramat dengan persentase rata-rata siswa tiap tipe miskonsepsi lebih dari 40% adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Konsep Suhu, siswa beranggapan bahwa besarnya suhu sebanding dengan massa bahan; 2) Suhu sering dianggap sama dengan kalor yaitu dapat berpindah; 3) Benda yang cepat naik suhunya cenderung lambat untuk turun suhunya dan sebaliknya; 4) Kalor jenis dan kapasitas kalor dapat berpindah dari benda satu ke benda lain seperti halnya kalor; 5) Miskonsepsi tentang kesetimbangan termal. Sedangkan profil miskonsepsi yang dimiliki oleh siswa SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta dengan persentase rata-rata siswa tiap tipe miskonsepsi lebih dari 40% adalah sebagai berikut: 1) Konsep Suhu, siswa beranggapan bahwa besarnya suhu sebanding dengan massa bahan; 2) Suhu sering dianggap sama dengan kalor yaitu dapat berpindah; 3) Benda yang cepat naik suhunya cenderung lambat untuk turun suhunya dan sebaliknya; 4) Kalor jenis dan kapasitas kalor dapat berpindah dari benda satu ke benda lain seperti halnya kalor; 5) Miskonsepsi tentang kesetimbangan termal. The purpose of this research was to describe the profile of students’ misconceptions on Heat and Temperature concept for Grade XI Senior High School. This misconceptions’ research follows quantitative research paradigm which without experimental was descriptive method. The sample was 133 students of Grade XI IPA SMA Negeri Kebakkramat and 104 students of Grade XI IPA SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta. The data about students’ misconceptions was derived from the research instrument in the term of the misconceptions identification test formed by objective tests which determined reason whereas data analysis technique used was descriptive statistic. From the test identification of misconceptions results, can be concluded that the students have many misconceptions. The profile of the students’ misconceptions in SMA Negeri Kebakkramat with the average percentage of each type of misconceptions more than 40% are as follows: 1) The concept of temperature, the students thought that temperature is proportional to the mass of material, 2) Temperature is often considered to be able to transfer as well as the heat; 3) Objects which are quickly rising temperature tends to decrease the temperature slowly and vice versa, 4) Specific heat and heat capacity can move from one object to another object as well as heat; 5) Misconceptions about thermal equilibrium.
