The purposes of this research are to describe the kind of translation varieties of Indonesian equivalences of simple preposiotns in the novel entitled Bleachers and to identify the kind of functions in English prepositional phrases. This research uses descriptive method and applies the technique of seeking, collecting, classifying and analyzing the data and then drawing conclusion based on data analysis. The source of the data is taken from the novel Bleachers and its translation Sang Pelatih. The researcher took random sampling, got 120 pages as the sample by using the interval 20 pages and then took 30% of the data of each simple preposition because the numbers of the data were still too big. The final data is 109 data. There are various kinds of Indonesian equivalences of simple prepositions. Preposition on is translated into di, yang bicara di, pada, di atas, dalam, mengenai, ke, saat, bagi, dari, sewaktu melakukan, and not translated. Preposition in is translated into di, dalam, yang ada di, mengenakan, selama, masuk, dengan, sepanjang, ketika mengenakan, di sela-sela, di bagian, dalam bentuk, and not translated. Meanwhile, preposition from can be translated into dari, sejauh, di antara and not translated. Preposition at can be translated into di, pada, ke, dalam, masuk, dari kearah, and not translated
