× The Research Aims To Describe Whether And To What Extend The Use Of Two Stay Two Stray Improves The Students’ Motivation In Learning English And To Identify What Are The Strength And The Weakness When Two Stay Two Stray Technique Is Implemented In Learning Process. The Method Used In This Research Was A Classroom Action Research. The Research Was Conducted In A Cycle At The Eighth Grade Students Of Smp N 1 Jaten From February Through June 2013. The Data Were Collected Through Observation, Questionnaire, Field Notes, Photographs, Interview And Test. The Qualitative Data Were Analyzed Using Constant Comparative Method Which Consists Of Five Stages. They Are Assembling The Data, Coding The Data, Comparing The Data, Building Interpretation And Reporting The Outcomes. The Quantitative Data Were Analyzed By Comparing The Mean Score Of Pre-Test And Post-Test. The Research Findings Show That The Implementation Of Two Stay Two Stray Method Improves The Students’ Motivation In Learning English. The Students’ Motivation Score Was Improve From 10,5 In Pre-Test To 18,4 In Post- Test (Maximum Score Is 24). The Improvement Includes: 1) Students Became More Active In Teaching And Learning Activities; 2) Students More Willing To Tackle Task And Challenges And Have Confident In Students’ Success; 3) Students Became More Realize The Importance Of Succeed Learning; 4) Students Showed Their Effort In Overcome Their Difficulties And They Don’t Afraid To Ask To When Find Difficulties; 5) Students Showed High Aspiration In Teaching And Learning Process. They Became More Aware Of The Goals Of Learning; 6) Students Paid More Attention And More Focuse To Teacher Explanation. During The Research, It Is Found Several Strengths Of Two Stay Two Stray. Two Stay Two Stray Makes The Students To Be Active And More Motivated In Teaching And Learning Process. However, The Weaknesses Of The Technique Also Appeared. Due To The Limited Time Of The Research, The Implementation Of Two Stay Two Stray Took A Long Time And Few Students Still Afraid Perform In Front Of The Class. It Can Be Concluded That The Implementation Of Two Stay Two Stray Improves The Students’ Motivation In Learning English. It Is Hoped That The Research Findings Can Be A Reference For Other Researchers To Implement Two Stay Two Stray In Their Teaching And Learning Process.
