The Guiding Technique And Activity In Puro Mangkunegaran

× Thisfinalproject report is written based on the job training activity done by the writer in February 2013 in Puro Mangkunegaran, one of the palaces in Surakarta. The objectives of this final project are to describe the guiding activities in Puro Mangkunegaran, to describe the guiding technique in Puro Mangkunegaran, and to find out the problems and solutions of guiding in Puro Mangkunegaran. This report focuses on the job training activity as local guide in Puro Mangkunegaran and the guiding technique in Puro Mangkunegaran. It is expected to be able to give clear understanding about the guiding technique and activity in Puro Mangkunegaran. The conclusion is that the guides not only handle tourists but also must know how to give good service for tourists. They use guiding technique in order to make it easy to do their duties. The writer also found some problems; they are the monotonous presentation, the lack of professional guide, and the mastery of foreign languages. By adding jokes during guiding, recruiting professional guide, and taking language course those problem can be solved.
