× The final project report is written based on the writer’s job training as a Food Beverage Attendant at Andrawina Restaurant in Novotel Hotel Solo for the period of February – June 2013. The objectives of the final project report are to describe the FB attendant’s activities of Andrawina Restaurant, to explain the problems encountered by the FB attendants in doing their job and to describe the implementation of Standard Operational Procedure (SOP) by the FB attendant at Andrawina Restaurant. The writer found that there are three working shifts for the attendants in which each of the shifts has different job description. The morning shift is handling breakfast and lunch time, the evening shift is for lunch and dinner time and the night shift is for supper and preparing for breakfast time. The writer observed that there are some problems encountered by the Food and Beverage attendant. They are the lack of tools and equipments, the limited number of the attendants and the lack of language of the guests and attendants. Besides, there are some standard operational procedures (SOP) which should be obeyed by the attendants in order to satisfy the guests. The Standard Operational Procedure includes the personal appearance, attitude and how to handle the guests. Finally, the writer expects that this final project report can give benefit to the management of Novotel Hotel Solo, the students of English Diploma Program and the general readers who are interested in hotel food and beverage knowledge.
