× This final project is written based on the job training which was done from January until March, 2012. The objectives of this final project report are to describe the teaching process of writing narrative text, the problem occurring in the teaching process and the solutions to the problems. In the teaching process of writing narrative text, the writer used four steps; building knowledge of the field, modelling of the text, joint construction of the text, and independent construction of the text. In BKOF, the writer tried to make the students ready to accept the material by giving some simple question related to the modelling text. In modelling of the text, the writer gave model of narrative text and then explained the simple past tense and the generic structure of the text. In the joint construction of the text, the writer asked the students to arrange the jumbled paragraph into a good text in pairs. In the last step, independent construction of the text, the writer asked them to write narrative text individually. In the end of the teaching and learning, the students were able to make a narrative text though some of them still had some problems in grammatical skill, lack of vocabulary, and low motivation in learning English.
